Swati Maliwal News Update: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lawmaker Swati Maliwal, a former head of the Delhi Commission for Women and Rajya Sabha member, has claimed that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s personal secretary, Vaibhav Kumar, assaulted her at his home. Delhi Police received a report of an attack from Kejriwal’s home early on Monday. The caller introduced herself as Swati Maliwal in a later call. Maliwal did not make a formal complaint, despite the fact that she later visited the police station.

  • After three days of silence, Swati Maliwal recorded her statement with the police on Thursday night. Subsequently, a medical examination at AIIMS confirmed internal injuries to her face. She testified in court on Friday regarding the assault she had.
  • Amid the ongoing controversy over Maliwal’s allegation that Arvind Kejriwal’s private secretary, Vibhav Kumar, attacked her, video footage of the incident at the Delhi Chief Minister’s residence on May 13 has surfaced.
  • Although Hindustan Times has not independently verified the video, it shows Swati Maliwal having a heated argument with staff at Kejriwal’s residence. She can be heard saying that she has already called the police and will only leave once they arrive. Swati Maliwal said, “I will make sure that if you touch me, you lose your job.”
  • The original source of the 52-second video circulating on social media is unknown. Swati Maliwal responded to the video, stating that it has been taken out of context and that the complete truth will come out once the CCTV footage is reviewed.
  • In her FIR, Swati Maliwal alleged that Arvind Kejriwal’s associate Vibhav Kumar “slapped her with full force at least 7-8 times.”
